Mountaineers and hikers are spoilt for choice with the big and the small Pyhrgas, the Warscheneck or the Priel-Group. Spend your holidays with your family or friends in Oberweng, take one of the various hiking trails directly from the holiday home Mountain View or set off for a bike tour to the swimming lake Gleinkersee. Here you can swim in one of the warmest mountain lakes in Austria, rent a boat or go for a stroll around the lake. Golfers can golf at the 18-hole golf course Windischgarsten-Edlbach, only 2.5km away, while your family relax or play at the natural water park which boasts an artificially created swimming lake with drinking water quality. A complete infrastructure with restaurant is also available.

Winter in Pyhrn-Priel

In the surrounding ski resorts like Hinterstoder or Wurzeralm you can spend the perfect winter holiday with children, as a couple or with friends. The ski resort Wurzeralm can be reached from our holiday home in Oberweng-Spital am Pyhrn in only ten minutes by car. This resort offers a modern funicular railway and a wonderful mountain panorama, over 20 professionally prepared ski trails at various levels of difficulty, several ski slopes as well as the Sunny Kids Park for children. In only 20 minutes you get to the world cup ski resort Hinterstoder, where there are 40 well-prepared ski trails situated up to about 2000m above sea level. In both regions there are ski schools with certified ski instructors offering ski courses for various levels. That´s how skiing on the Wurzeralm and in Hinterstoder is perfect fun!

Take a trip to the natural toboggan runs Edlbach or Rosenau am Hengstpass. The summer toboggan piste at the Wurbauerkogel in Windischgarsten (only 4km from our holiday apartments Mountain View) allow you to also enjoy tobogganing fun with your family outside the winter season. The about 25 different cross-country ski trails of the Pyhrn-Priel region will excite cross-country enthusiasts. Physically fit hikers will be able to reach the cross-country ski trails Wurloipe and Edlbachloipe by foot, which are about 1km from our holiday home in Oberweng.
